All cultural sites, artifacts, fossils, and historic remains are fragile and irreplaceable. It is unlawful to injure, destroy, excavate, or remove any historic or prehistoric site, artifact, or object of antiquity on public lands.
Our cultural heritage depends on your care! Here's how you can help:
Before entering a site consider how you can minimize your impact.
Always remain on designated trails.
When entering/leaving through a closed gate, please close it behind you.
Don't sit, climb, stand, or lean on stone walls.
Look, but don't touch! Moisture and oil from your hands may destroy ancient surfaces.
Please do not remove artifacts from any site.
Don't camp on or in sites.
Don't leave trash, "offerings," or other personal items at sites.
